Our Flinders Crewneck was named after the man himself, Captain Matthew Flinders (1774 - 1814) who led the very first inshore circumnavigation of the country we call Australia. He was actually the man who also coined the name Australia, which incorporated the whole country, including Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania).
